While shipping container homes have been of use for about a decade, Kings County Parks is currently taking reservations for their new bunk made from a cargo container.
While most campers enjoy using the traditional pop up tents, architect Joel Egan of HyBrid Architecture used his award winning design to collaborate with King County’s GreenTools Program and create this progressive camper.
At 24 feet long, it includes all the amenities one would find in a small cabin with a green twist: full sized bunk beds, kitchen cabinets that can be moved outside for use, a wall made of recycled soccer goals, and a table made from an old door.
The camper is currently situated along the Snoqualmie River at Tolt-MacDonald Park, in Carnation.
For $50 a night, you can’t beat staying green and having fun!
